Daylight is here! On May 23, 2018, Pima Community College turned on the new D2L Brightspace “Daylight” interface. While the overall “look and feel” may appear to be quite different, your class and all of your assessment and file management tools will pretty much operate as they always have been. Here is some information you will need to maximize the visibility of course widgets and understand what you see in your course.
Essentially, Daylight offers:

There's a new way to access your classes! While you will have a nice assortment of your classes depicted graphically on your D2L Brightspace Daylight My Home page, you can also use the new Course Selector "waffle" icon tool that you can use to search and navigate for your courses.
We've also simplified the Navbar, making it easier to find the tools you need, faster. For example, we moved links to some of the lesser used tools (e.g., Chat and Attendance tools) to the Course Administration interface (Course Admin link). You will also notice that the Communications dropdown menu of tools has been removed. Please know that these tools haven’t been deleted but moved to another dropdown menu. For example, the Discussions tool moved to the Assessments dropdown menu and the Groups and Classlist tools moved to the Course Resources dropdown menu.

The biggest news and change to our course management system will be the integration / merging of the MyPima and D2L Brightspace Email systems. Yes, at long last, you will now be able to send and receive your College-wide emails using either your MyPima or D2L Brightspace Email tools. For more information, please see this Gmail Integration page provided by PimaOnline.
