Topic: Our purpose this meeting is to put into practice what we have been learning about preparing to talk with “people in power”.  Cindy Meier, Division Dean of Adult Education for Pima, will be joining us at 10:00 to answer questions that the leadership group will pose to her in order to answer some of the questions that have been developed during previous sessions.  If your group has a question that they would like answered around the theme of Family Literacy, funding, or other question applicable to Cindy Meier’s position, please bring it to the meeting.

May 2, 2007: Service Learning and Leadership Fair
This event was the culmination of our year of learning and hard work. Each Family Literacy site presented a project they had worked on with the intention of improving their school or community. Projects ranged from parking lot safety to beautification of children's classrooms. Students were very creative with their presentation media, utilizing skits, songs, PowerPoint presentations, and digital stories. Everyone in attendance was able to learn from the experiences of each group.
